How to get around Megavideo time limit

Megavideo is a great site which hosts thousands of your favourite movies and TV episodes. The only problem with it is that they have introduced a 72 time limit which stops you from watching. You then have to wait until the limit is lifted before you can resume watching your favourite TV show online.

Here is a 100% effective way of bypassing the Megavideo time limit. It allows you to watch as many videos as you like. It is completely free so don’t worry.

The method involves downloading the AOL email software which is, as you may be aware, a program through which you can login to your AOL email but also surf the internet.  The beauty of this software, as well as the reason we’re using it, is that it gives your computer a brand new unique IP address. This is what Megavideo uses to identify you and know that you’ve watched 72 minutes.

This does not get rid of the 72 minute time limit but it does mean that you can quickly login and watch more instead of having to wait for the limit to disappear.

To begin with, open an AOL account and then download this working version of AOL software. It’s only 48 MB and has been scanned with the latest antivirus to make sure that the file is safe to download. Of course scan it yourself to be on the safe side.

1. Download the software
2. Double click to begin the installation process
3. Click ‘Custom Install’
4. Unselect all. You don’t want the AOL toolbar or any of the other extras of the program.
5. Click ‘Current Members’
6. Click ‘Next’
7. Click ‘Connect Options’
8. Click ‘Advanced Broadband Settings’
9. Click ‘Continue’
10. Add a broadband profile. Call it whatever you wish.
11. Set to ‘Home Network’
12. Click ‘Save’
13. Click ‘Sign on’
14. Click ‘No’ to restore sessions
15. You’re now able to watch the Megavideo video. Simple login again once you’ve hit the 72 minute time limit popup.

   Correction:

   it DOES work. However, AOL will ask you to upgrade to the newer version of their software (9.5) and you have to click “remind me later.”

   This trick only works with the 9.1 version linked in the article.
